Frontal Lobe

The frontal lobe is the largest of the four major lobes in the human brain. Firstly, the frontal lobe is important for dopamine neurons. These neurons are important for the feeling of reward and satisfaction, for example when you finish a task or reach a goal.

The frontal lobe also has many functions outside of this. It also encapsulates the areas called “premotor cortex” and “primary motor cortex”, which are both very important for planning and executing voluntary movements. The frontal lobe is also an important step for attention, short term memory and planning.
